QUICK OVERVIEW

One of the well-known treks, Rakaposhi base camp also called Tagafari in the local language, is the most well-known trek in Hunza Nagar. It is a one day trek from Minapin valley in Nagar. At 7788 metres, Rakaposhi Mountain is the 27th highest mountain in the world.

The trek is best if you are a newbie in trekking. It has an amazing view of Rakaposhi glacier if  you are at the feet of the majestic mountain Rakaposhi. The basecamp has also a camping facility and a small cafe so you don't have to carry all the food in your rucksack.

Best time :

For an ideal trek to Rakaposhi Base Camp, plan your journey between June and September, which corresponds to Northern Pakistan's spring and summer. This timeframe ensures the warmest weather and a higher chance of enjoying clear, sunny days.

Although it's possible to undertake the hike in May or October, brace yourself for noticeably cooler conditions. Nighttime temperatures may dip below zero, demanding careful preparation for those venturing out during these months.
